I have seen some of your interviews, and I applaud your efforts. Educating the children of the colonists is a huge endeavor. I left my rez back in 98 for 8 years in the service. I met only two other Indians, but was annoyed at the countless posers through the years. I never did understand when it became cool to be Indian. I see many non-Indians in the world that are happy to portray stereotypes. I do not believe they care, because most of them think we are all dead. I cannot count the times I have heard people tell me that I don’t look like an Indian, despite my Paiute Mother and Karuk Father.
